The short film "La Panchina" was created as part of the project "Per farela breve", curated by the group of volunteers for the disabled "Quelli del Sabato", with the participation of two small actors from the Association of Parents and Children Down of Arona, the amateur group Twirling of Oleggio and the Banda San Giovanni Bosco of Bellinzago, funded by the Piedmont Region and the Province of Novara, which has obtained the patronage of the municipalities of Bellinzago, Oleggio and Verbania.

The activities began in November 2010, with a course in theatrical creativity for children, aimed at the conception and drafting of a film subject, with the help of director Daniela Niola. Afterwards, the acting workshops for the improvement of body expression and mimicry start with Dilva Rossi, actress of the theatre company "C'era l'acca".

The screenplay and actors began to take shape; the locations were identified (Parco Beldì in Oleggio and two houses in Bellinzago), the scenes were defined, and the work team was built, bringing together professionals from all over Italy. From August 1 to 6, 2011 we turn. 10 actors, 50 extras, 25 volunteers and a crew of 15 professionals for a single great goal, a short original and high quality.

"La Panchina" won the award for Best Short Film among the 160 shorts registered at the Piemonte Movie Film Festival.
